潍坊护理职业学院是经山东省政府批准设立的全日制普通高等学校，由山东省益都卫生学校和潍坊卫生学校合并组建而成。学院现有三个校区，学院新校区作为主校区坐落在青州市云驼风景区内，校园总占地800多亩，建筑面积25.7万平方米；建有附属医院2所，养老护理院1所，省级以上财政支持的实训基地2个，建有高标准实验室142个，教学仪器设备总值9600多万元。现有专兼职教师800多人，专任教师80%以上具有中高级技术职称。学院还聘请了包括中国工程院副院长樊代明院士、中国科学院曾毅院士在内的100多名知名专家担任兼职教授。学院全日制在校生13000多人，生源遍布全国各地。

  学院具有悠久的办学历史，青州校区的前身是英国浸礼会创建于1885年的青州医学堂。齐鲁大学医科在此基础上诞生，是山东近代医学教育的源头，山东护理教育的发端。潍坊校区的前身是1889年美国基督教北长老会在潍县创办的乐道院医护学校。两所卫校都有120多年的办学历史，合并前都是国家级重点学校、卫生部职业技能鉴定培训基地、省级教学示范学校和省级文明单位，已为社会培养各类卫生技术人才10万多名。

  学院专业设置集大专、中专、成教、培训于一体，开设护理、口腔医学技术、康复治疗技术、药学、助产、医学检验技术、医学营养、医用电子仪器与维护、中药、医学影像技术、医疗美容技术、老年服务与管理、卫生检验与检疫技术、健康管理等14个专业，根据社会需求开展成人教育和社会培训。护理专业是学院的品牌专业，是山东省和潍坊市的特色专业，已有100多年的办学历史。军护是学院首创和名牌方向，实行军事化管理，主要面向部队医院实习就业，被山东省卫生厅确定为全省卫生系统质量品牌。口腔医学技术专业、老年服务与管理专业是学院的重点专业，依托专业建有潍坊牙科医院、潍坊滨海常青园养老护理院等机构。药学专业是学院特色专业、山东省重点专业，实行订单式培养，毕业生供不应求。康复治疗技术专业是学院特色专业，在当地具有较高的社会声誉。

Weifang Nursing Vocational College is a national full-time regular higher vocational school being officially approved by Shandong provincial government. It was founded in 2011 on the basis of combination of Yidu Health School and Weifang Health School. At present the college has three campuses. The newly built campus, which is also the main campus, lies in Yuntuo scenic area of Qingzhou. It occupies an area of 800 mu with a floor space of 257 thousand square meters. In the college, there are 3 affiliated hospitals, 1 nursing home, 2 training bases supported by provincial finance and 142 high-standard laboratories. The total value of all teaching apparatus and equipment is more than 96 million RMB. Weifang Nursing Vocational College is comprised of a faculty of over 800 full-time and part-time teachers, among which 80% of full-time teachers are professors. The college also employs over 100 renowned experts as part-time professors represented by national academician Fan Daiming, assistant dean of Chinese Academy of Engineering, and national academician Zengyi of Chinese Academy of Sciences. The college now has a total enrollment of over 13,000 full-time students, from everywhere of the country.

Weifang Nursing Vocational College has a long history. The predecessor of Qingzhou campus was a medical school founded by North American Presbyterian in 1889. Based on the medical school, the Medical Department of Cheeloo University, the origin of modern medical education and the initiative strength in nursing education, was established. The predecessor of Weifang campus is the medical and nursing school of the Courtyard of the Happy Way founded by North American Presbyterian in county Wei in 1889. Both of the health schools have more than 120 years of history. Before the combination, both of the two schools are national-level key schools and professional skills appraisal and training bases identified by the Ministry of Health. They were also named as the provincial leading demonstration schools and provincial civilized units, which have produced more than 100,000 health technical personnel.

Weifang Nursing Vocational College integrates higher and secondary vocational education, adult education and technical training. It covers 14 majors including nursing, stomatology technology, rehabilitation technology, pharmacy, accouche, medical laboratory technology, medical nutrition, medical electronic apparatus and maintenance, traditional Chinese medicine, medical imaging technology, medical beauty technology, elderly services and management, health inspection and quarantine technology, and health management, all of which are carried out in a way of adult education and social training according to social demand. Nursing major, with its 100 years of history, is the brand major of the college and characteristic specialty in Shandong province and Weifang city. Military medical nursing is the initiative attempt and brand-orientated major which is implemented in military management. It is employment-orientated for students to go on a field trip to or work in hospital. Therefore, military medical nursing is stipulated as quality of the brand in health system throughout the province. The major of stomatology technology and elderly services and management are the key majors of the college. Based on the majors, such institutions as Weifang Dental Hospital, Weifang Binhai Ever-Green Elderly Nursing Home, etc. have been built. Pharmacy is a featured major of the college, which is also the key major of the province, implementing talent cultivation mode with ordering form, so the graduated students have always been falling short of demand. Rehabilitation technology is another featured major of the college which enjoys a high reputation in the local area.
